We are certified Dog Water Instructors who LOVE animals and want the best for the dogs who suffer in pain as well as dogs who just need exercise. We are members of the IAAMB and the Association of Canine Water Therapy. We are certified in Canine Water Therapy Levels 1 and 2 and received our training from La Paw Spa in Sequim Washington. We have also added a part time veternarian technitian, Jen Bellknap, who has 7 years experience in the field of veterinarian care.

Tara’s dog Tindy was diagnosed with an ACL tear which would require her to have surgery. Tindy underwent knee surgery which was a success. Tindy’s veterinary recommended water therapy for a better recovery. Tindy was put in water therapy even though she wasn’t too excited about it at first. Then we bought our own pool for her therapy and she did even better. She came to love the water and was swimming every day. Tara took her back to her surgeon to get a update and they couldn’t believe how well she was doing.

Shelley’s dog, Sassy first started water therapy to lose weight. Within a couple of months she also tore her ACL which required surgery. After having surgery she also had to start water therapy for her knee to take pressure off her joints and promote quicker healing. This was the Best solution for Sassy. Then a few months later Sassy blew out her other knee which was once again the ACL. Sassy was back in the pool swimming again for further therapy. Now Sassy has had both knees done and she has lost over Twelve pounds. She is doing exceptionally well now and can walk without a limp and climbs hills.

We both have personally experienced the pain and suffering with our dogs. We know what it is like to have your four legged babies hurt and not be able to walk. We know what it is like to have an over-weight dog who needs to start off slow and work up to exercising on hard surface. We bought our own pool to do our own dogs. We love our babies so much we wanted to give back and give the same love and affection to other dogs. Hopefully we help as many dogs as we can and help the owners see that their babies will once again run and play. We strive to build our knowledge and continue to further our education on dog therapy.
